Dr. Wellington needs no introduction. A resume decorated with accomplishments and awards, including receiving the first Jamaica Independence Scholarship to pursue his B.Sc in Agriculture at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine in 1962. His research is known to be largely responsible for the development, maintenance and conservation of Jamaica's four cattle breeds - Jamaica Red Poll, Jamaica Brahman, Jamaica Hope and Jamaica Black Poll, which lead to animals better suited to our climate and overall improved productivity in the industry. Today, from his beautiful YS Farm in St Elizabeth, he continues his work of constant improvement of the Jamaican cattle breeds. We are so proud to have worked with Dr. Wellington for so many years. 
Patricia has been around the egg business her entire life with the belief that farming is the primary sector of any country and people will always need to eat. She fondly recalls competing with her brothers while grading eggs on her father’s farms as a child as well as the red Volkswagen she bought for $10,000 in 1990, from which she could sell over 200 cases per week on Harbour Street in downtown Kingston. Today, she owns and operates her own farm and distributes all of her eggs through three locations. She’s adamant that you must secure your market before you grow and believes firmly in industry cooperation, fair business practices and proper planning. We say, “Well done Patricia, we’re behind you 100%!” 
In 2007, while still working as a bank teller in Kingston, Sheldon entered the pig business to make some additional income, starting with just a few pigs and a single pen. However, when he signed a contract with Copperwood to finish their weaners he realized that farming would have to be his full time occupation and “retired” from the corporate world. “That decision changed my life,” Sheldon says and since then he has invested in other businesses and purchased two properties to expand his farm to accommodate over 1,000 pigs and grow other crops, such as pineapples and dasheen that he exports. In 2014 and 2015 he was awarded the JAS National Young Champion Farmer at Denbigh. We’re proud of you Sheldon! Keep it up!
